How Do You Travel So Much?????

Traveling the globe costs money. We know that. So how to travel on a budget? There is no right or wrong answer. Nor is there any one sure way to tell someway to  since many use more than one method.

I research, plan, and check for deals way in advance, as well as traveling on the off season. But I also compromise and do a lot of things to save extra money. I budget and save by doing my own manicure and pedicures, I do myn hair and complete my body sugar scrub.

I made  two savings jars and started saving all my coins in one and small paper bills in the other. this helps offset snacks and miscellaneous items prior to or on my trip. My motto is have love will travel.

Look for flight deals. Sign up for email alerts. Use Groupon, Holiday Factory, and other group sites.

Check your credit card for flight points, hotel savings, and rental cars and even more.

So get ready to write make your plans. set your dates, throw all your change somewhere, and use coupons and deals to see your dream destinations.

Travel tattoos: Do you have any?????

I never wanted a tattoo until a few years ago. Of course, I didn't do anything about it either. I would admire others who were brave enough to get any tattoos. Then tattoos changed. They weren't just for bikers, sports stars, musicians, or other specialized groups. They were for anyone or everyone who had a desire to mark their bodies with a statement of who they are and what or who they love.

I saw people around the way with directions, globes, continents, planes, and other items relating to traveling the world on their bodies. And I wanted one too! I would have to find the courage to do it one day. Hopefully sooner rather than later!

Have Love Will Travel

This title says it all! I dream of traveling. I check maps, make lists, and check them off when I go to new destinations. When I watch television, I get a kick out of recognizing places I have been to and not only read about. This is my new mantra!

Thankful for Travel

I am eternally thankful to Christ for the ability to now plan and travel several times a year during my vacation time. It used to be only a dream and wish and prayer. I would sit by and watch others go off to some new destination, then later have to sit and hear about their exciting adventures. Now I am one of those people. I surround my life around traveling now. In my mind, I am always thinking of where I would like to go next. What culture or country will I visit? I keep a world map close to look at the hundreds of countries out there waiting for me to explore.  My new motto is I Love To Travel! Thankful and grateful to God for these wonderful opportunities.

Dublin, Ireland

Going to Dublin, Ireland was a real treat! The countryside is just amazing, so green and lush! It rained a lot, but it only made the grass, plants, and trees shimmer! I visit several castles, and even kissed the Blarney Stone!

Scotland in the summertime

It has been my dream to visit Scotland since my college days when my brother and his family moved to Glasgow for his job. They were there for about three or four years. They would send me beautiful pictures of the lush and green countryside. Well, my dream cam true and I finally made it! I called my brother once I arrived and informed him of where I was located at that moment. He was so surprised and proud of me for accomplishing one of my dream travel goals. The people were friendly and helpful, the food was okay and the scenic views were breathtaking. Now my new goal is to travel and visit as many castles as I possibly can. This one actually had a royal family living on one side and the other side was for tours. Just beautiful!

Madagascar

I visited central Madagascar along with the capital. And wish I had known to go to the more popular resorts in the northern section of the country. My resort was okay, but it was still beautiful, if a bit outdated and isolated. I will have to visit again. I met some great people and lots of locals. But this country is not all lush and beautiful.

Madagascar is one of the poorest countries in the world. People and even children are in the streets walking and begging/looking for food. The animals were starving and thin walking even in the street. I had to stay over in the capital city, Antananarivo, because my flight to my resort only left on specific days (going and coming back). Please do your research before you travel anywhere! My driver cautioned me not to roll down the window and ignore the many people knocking on the window and speaking French while begging for money. It broke my heart. But when we stopped at a light, there was a converge of men, women, and children rocking the car. Now I got scared. If I was rich, that would be one place I would return to and help out as much as I could.

Cape Town, South Africa

I spent some time in Cape Town, South Africa. it is a beautiful and historic city. I did tours on buses, along with two walking tours as well. I rode a boat to visit where Nelson Mandela was jailed on Robbins Island. It rained a lot and was too foggy to go up to Table Mountain. But I did several wine tours. They make great wine in SA. I visited the SA penguins and they were beautiful. The people nice and welcoming.

Better late than never!

I have been traveling for some years now, but I have been lax in posting info and pics consistently about my adventures. When the thought of first getting a blog to write about my travels, I was extremely excited, but life gets in the way and I would put it off, then never got back to it. So now, with encouragement  from friends, I will be sharing more about my time visiting different countries and cultures. Also, I like to ride buses and trains to see more of the countryside when I arrive in a new country.

Sick in Sri Lanka

This was what I  drank for days, after I got sick in Sri Lanka. I flew into the capital, and only visited two museums. Then I ate something that gave me food poisoning and I stayed in my hotel room until it was time to return home. I will have to have a do over for Sri Lanka.
